Privacy
How this static directory and its browser tools handle your information.
Using the site
This pilot has no accounts or advertising scripts. The website host receives ordinary technical request information needed to deliver pages, subject to its own privacy policy. See Netlify’s privacy policy.
Optional analytics and your choice
Google Analytics is available only if you choose “Accept analytics”. We do not load Google Analytics or send analytics requests before that choice. It helps Rob understand page visits and improve the guide. Google receives page paths, browser/device information and cookie identifiers; it may process this information outside the UK. We disable advertising features and do not send form entries, entered weights or URL query/fragment values as analytics data. Read Google’s privacy policy and how Google Analytics handles data.
When analytics is available, “Reject analytics” is equally easy to choose. “Analytics preferences” in the footer lets you withdraw or change your choice. Withdrawing reloads the page, stops further analytics requests and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies for this site; it cannot undo data already sent. You can also remove cookies through your browser settings.
We store only your analytics choice and its expiry in this browser’s local storage for up to 180 days. If that storage is unavailable, a choice applies only to the current page. Google Analytics cookies named _ga and _ga_… may be set after acceptance for up to 180 days. Clearing your browser storage resets your choice. The tools and directory work when you reject analytics.
Weight tools and search
Calculations happen in your browser. We do not send the entered weights to an application server. A shared tool link or search URL may contain the values you chose to share. Anyone with that link can read them; avoid adding personal information.
Contact and correction messages
When you submit the contact form, Netlify processes and stores your name (if supplied), email address, message and optional page/source URLs. Rob receives a private notification and uses the information to review the issue and reply where needed. Keep personal documents and unnecessary private information out of your message. Contact Rob through the same form to request deletion of a previous enquiry.
External websites
Council, operator and LinkedIn links take you to separate services with their own policies. We do not control the information you choose to submit to those services.
